CAE Engineer, Beijing

Radius Product Development is looking for a talented CAE Engineer that can participate in and contribute to the product development teams. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing CAE support to the program teams, bring to bear world class engineering knowledge, creativity, product development experience, planning, and communication skills to deliver winning solutions for Radius clients.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and manage FEA simulation work in product design and development programs for consumer products such as hand held electronics devices, packaging for beverage products.
• Conduct FEA simulation of mechanical design of consumer products using CAE software based on the product/testing requirements
• Analyze simulation results and prepare documentation and summary reports for clients
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and professional guidance
• Contribute engineering knowledge and experience to product development projects

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE TYPICALLY REQUIRED:

• At least 5 years’ experience in FEA simulation work for mechanical design of industrial or consumer products. Experience in performing drop test simulation, thermal analysis, vibration analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in FEA simulation process including simplification of CAD models, meshing, defining boundary conditions, processing and post processing analysis as well as preparation of reports.
• Proficient in using ABAQUS or other simulation software as well as CAD software such as Pro/ENGINEER or SolidWorks;
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.

• A history of coordinating efforts of technical and non-technical team members
