We spent some quality time at the National Restaurant Association Show here in Chicago this week and found Coke taking center stage, showcasing the Freestyle machine. Mendat, PhD, Director, Research & Human Factors at Radius will be speaking at the upcoming 2012 PDA Meeting (Parenteral Drug Association) Manufacturing Innovation: Achieving Excellence in Sterile and Emerging Biopharmaceutical Technology. The event will take place April 16 – 17, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) is the leading global provider of science, technology and regulatory information and education for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical community. Christina's presentation, Mitigating Pharma & BioPharm Equipment Risk through Human Factors, will seek to educate the audience about the importance of human factors in managing risk.

Anthony will direct business and strategic priorities leading the continued growth of the Chicago office while also providing strategic contributions to Radius’ success globally. Anthony has over 20 years of product innovation and development experience in healthcare, commercial and consumer markets. His deep experience includes partnering with healthcare clients to understand the complete care cycle and identify opportunities for realizing technology innovation in patient friendly devices that provide clinical efficacy in drug delivery while being cost effective. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia.

Christina Mendat PhD has joined Radius as our Director of Research
and Human Factors

Boston - February 1, 2012

We are excited to announce that Christina Mendat PhD has joined Radius as our Director of Research and Human Factors. She leads our Research and Human Factors function providing key insights to the creation and user verification process as it applies to evolving regulatory standards for Health Care products. Christina has considerable Health Care expertise in Research, Human Factors, Usability Testing, and Regulatory Controls ranging from large scale medical-surgical products, diagnostic devices, and drug delivery systems. Her experience conducting user-centered risk analyses will further enable our teams to define deeper product requirements, confirm design directions and deploy risk mitigation strategies earlier in the design process through validation and clinical trial testing. Christina earned her PhD in Experimental Psychology and Ergonomics from North Carolina State University and is an active member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation. Recognized as an industry thought leader, she lectures regularly in her areas of expertise at professional events and seminars.

Mike Susi returns as General Manager for Radius Clinton

We are pleased to announce the return of Mike Susi in the position of General Manager for Radius Clinton. In this role he assumes primary management and leadership of the Radius Clinton and Boston area operations directing the overall business functions, strategic priorities and growth initiatives for our global HQ office. With over 19 years of experience in program management in designing and developing products, he brings demonstrated success in strategic customer and company leadership in the creation of innovative, technical solutions for the medical, consumer electronic, and commercial markets. Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).

Keith earned his Bachelor’s Degree (BA) of from Villanova University and recently completed Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development (PLD).
