Christina C. Mendat, PhD, Director, Research & Human Factors at Radius will be speaking at the upcoming 2012 PDA Meeting (Parenteral Drug Association) Manufacturing Innovation: Achieving Excellence in Sterile and Emerging Biopharmaceutical Technology. The event will take place April 16 – 17, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) is the leading global provider of science, technology and regulatory information and education for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical community. Christina's presentation, Mitigating Pharma & BioPharm Equipment Risk through Human Factors, will seek to educate the audience about the importance of human factors in managing risk.
According to Christina, “The integration of human factors and supporting research is a critical part of developing and maintaining the integrity of user requirements and mitigating any potential use-error risks.” This presentation will provide case studies in which human factors integration has resulted in equipment design that not only meet product requirements from a technical perspective but also support user requirements in a manner that fosters product compliance while minimizing use-errors. The talk will also introduce the audience to Radius as a leader in human factors and usability in the biopharmaceutical landscape. To learn more about the event visit www.pda.org
