A better self diagnostic experience
Creating a better self administered blood glucose monitoring device.
Bayer's Microlet 2 Adjustable Lancing Device
With 25.8 million children and adults in the United States—8.3% of the population—have diabetes, self administered blood glucose monitoring is an ever-growing demand. Bayer asked Radius to support the design for manufacturing effort with Mechanical Design Refinement, Testing and Design Documentation to support the ramp to market.
The Bayer Microlet Automatic Lancing Device is used for obtaining blood samples from the fingertip. This simple to use device offers minimal discomfort, while incorporating advanced mechanical technology and adjustable guided precision into a new lancing device design that is easy to use while minimizing the pain associated with the testing approach.
Bayer’s MICROLET™2 has a textured surface that makes it easy to grip. Its big release button simplifies testing. In fact, 2 out of 3 people preferred Bayer’s MICROLET™2 over their current device.
