Radius was tasked with evolving the original delivery system to create an easy experience while maximizing the technologies moisture absorbing effectiveness. Designed for the home and office, the full line of DampRid Super Absorbing Systems creates fresher, healthier air by eliminating musty odors and airborne mold and mildew allergens that cause health issues.

Radius was asked to explore a range of product concepts that probed moisture problems consumers have and what remedies have they tried. We designed, developed and evaluated a range of product concepts that were measured against the leading competitive units for consumer interest, purchase intent, environment fit, ease of use, style, color preference, value and durability. Those insights helped filter, guide, and refine the final solution for development. The design optimized for manufacturability and ramped to production considering speed, cost and assembly drivers.

The result is a slim fashionable package in a neutral décor suitable for display in public areas of the home; a smart 2-chamber design with 360 degree venting for superior airflow and a sturdy anti-tip base to prevent spills. The easy to use platform features an ergonomic grip design that allows one-handed pouring and a refill pack that loads quickly and easily without handling the moisture absorbing chemical.

The new Super Absorbing System is easy lasts up to 60 days and absorbs 50% more moisture than the closest competitor.
